WHEN / WHERE IS CUCOH?

When: Our conference will be held over one weekend in November (exact dates TBD) beginning Friday night and ending Sunday afternoon.

Where: Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. The main conference will be held in BioSciences Complex (116 Barrie Street), New Medical Building (15 Arch Street) and the surrounding buildings. Social events will be held on or near campus. External delegates will be staying at a hotel close to the university campus.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

CUCOH is open to any undergraduate students interested in learning about Canadian healthcare. There is no preference for a particular school or program of study and delegate spots are allotted on a first come, first served basis. Delegates must pre-register and pay their registration fees by the deadline of October 20th. If there is no CUCOH representative at your school, contact our External Relations Coordinators at external@cucoh.com to learn more about the conference and registration.

WHAT ARE EXPERIENCES?

Interactive opportunities for students to personalize their experience. Seminars and Fields are run by experts in the industry, allowing an in-depth exploration of a specialized topic, while workshops offer hands-on experience, allowing delegates to learn new skills from seasoned professionals. Case challenges allow for delegates to collaborate in solving healthcare related problems and lastly our research competition lets delegates critique the work of fellow peers on a variety of healthcare related topics.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Delegates will receive their delegate package, schedule, name tag, pen and notebook when they register. Aside from what we provide you should bring:

  • Business formal attire
  • Semi-formal attire
  • Laptop
  • Phone (keep out of sight during presentations)
  • Chargers
  • 2 pieces of government ID
  • EXTERNAL DELEGATES ONLY: toiletries and casual wear

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

The dress code for the weekend is business formal and semi-formal for the Saturday night banquet.

WHAT IS THE ITINERARY?

Friday: Following check-in on Friday evening, delegates attend our opening ceremony with lots of networking and social opportunities before heading to our opening ceremony.

Saturday: We will start with a breakfast, a debrief of our conference IDs and our second keynote before beginning the scheduled experiences and lunch rotations of the day which all culminates in our night events. Our night events consists of our Gala photoshoot, banquet and panel discussion before we all head to a local club to dance the night away.

Sunday: We will start with a breakfast, a debrief of our conference IDs and our second keynote before beginning the scheduled experiences and lunch rotations of the day which all culminates in our closing ceremony. Our closing ceremony consists of our closing statements, awards, and final keynote.

CAN I ATTEND JUST ONE DAY?

Unfortunately, due to high attendance rates, we are unable to offer one day tickets. However, we are able to offer single keynote speaker admission tickets.

WHAT IS THE ROOMING SITUATION?

Rooms come with two double beds that are shared between four delegates. Delegates may request roommates in their registration form.

CAN I CHANGE ROOMING ACCOMMODATIONS?

You may change rooming accommodations but we will only accept changes up until October 31st by emailing external@cucoh.com. After this date we are unable to make changes. 

WHEN IS HOTEL CHECK IN / OUT?

The hotel, as well as check-in and check-out dates, have yet to be finalized. External delegates will be staying at a hotel close to the Queen’s University campus, where our shuttle service will operate from. Since check-out is before the conference ends, we will provide space for our delegates to keep their bags on campus at the conference venue.

CAN I GET A REFUND?

You may obtain a refund for your ticket up until November 1st by emailing registration@cucoh.com. After this date we are unable to provide refunds as we have already set catering orders, printed tags and acquired all equipment needed to run CUCOH based on the number of delegate registrations at that time.
